This new folly at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley is an old, unused silo which is being reconceived as an art space. Farm equipment was removed, a new roof dome with an oculus was installed, and the interior was coated with shotcrete and painted white. The new 18′ diameter, 50′ tall space now contains anchoring for suspending art, and wiring for light and sound art installations.
